Climate
The Mojave Desert is very dry and very hot and summer can be a time of lowering thunderstorms if little rain. Wind is a near-constant. The desert cools in the winter and can get below freezing, especially in the higher elevations. Since the Mojave is both very high and very low, temperature can vary by whether you happen to be in a valley or atop a peak.
