Description
A major tributary of the Feather River, itself a major tributary of the Sacramento River, the Yuba River begins as the north, middle, and south forks in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
The north, middle, and south forks flow from high up the Yuba Pass, at Jackson Meadows Reservoir, and Lake Spaulding, respectively. The North fork flows through the sprawling New Bullards Bar Reservoir, a popular destination for water skiing in particular, as well as fishing and houseboating. All three forks of the Yuba River are ultimately connected at Englebright Reservoir.
