Description

This quiet, cool, forested campground provides an escape from the intense desert heat in the summer months. The campground is directly adjacent to the Mill Creek Wilderness. This provides an excellent opportunity for campers to see old growth dependent species such as the Pileated Woodpecker. Most of the campsites are flat, providing some easy barrier-free access.

A trailhead is located adjacent to the campground providing access to Mill Creek and Twin Pillars Trails. Both are in the wilderness - please remember that no motorized vehicles or bicycles are permitted on wilderness trails.

from Prineville, travel 9 miles northeast on Highway 26 to Mill Creek Road (Forest Road No.33). Turn left on Mill Creek Road and follow it approximately 10 miles to the campground.
