Coupled with sections of Zigzag Mt trail No. 775 and the southern section of Burnt Lake trail No. 722, this trail provides a loop opportunity. From the parking lot at the end of road 27 the trail climbs steeply for the first ½ miles. From the switchback the grades moderate until the junction with Zigzag Mt. trail No. 775.

A few days before your trip, change your stock over to processed feed and only allow it to graze in weed free pasture. Permits are required between May 15 and Oct 15, but are free and self-issuing at a permit box station along the trail.
