Description
Ukonom Creek is open to fishing upstream from Ukonom Falls, just above the confluence with the Klamath River. It provides several miles of fishing for native rainbow trout deep in the heart of the wild and beautiful Klamath River country. There are no roads along this creek, and the terrain is rugged.
Dillon Creek Campground is approximately five miles southwest of Ukonom Creek down Highway 96 This campground has 21 family sites with water and vault toilets. The campground map or fishing map may be helpful in locating more information on specific areas.

A valid California state fishing license is needed to fish within the National Forest. Licenses are sold at sporting good and other retail stores. For information on fishing times & limits a current state fishing regulation guide is generally available free at these same locations. Basic Directions
The trail along Ukonom Creek is accessed via Highway 96, about 20 miles south of the town of Happy Camp. The headwaters of Ukonom Creek can be accessed from the Marble Mt. Wilderness on either the Elk Creek Trail or Haypress Trail.
