Description
The Cherry Creek run of the Tuolumne is the most difficult whitewater commercially run in California (some say the country, in fact). Over 14 Class V rapids and two mandatory portages pack a major punch as the river tumbles down steep and picturesque Jawbone Canyon.
Visitors to Cherry Creek must be physically fit and have previous whitewater experience; most outfitters require several training trips to ready potential passengers for the wild trials the river will present.
