Description
The South Fork Trinity River is fed by the North Yola Bolly Mountains and flows through major cataracts of whitewater as it tumbles down towards its confluence with the Main Trinity. The South Fork of the Trinity offers one 13 mile advanced-intermediate stretch known as the ‘Three Bears’.
The Three Bears features several large rapids choked with granite boulders, a secluded river canyon with good wildlife viewing potential and a couple of historic homesteads along the river banks. The ‘Three Bears’ is boatable in mid spring only due to the limited snow melt season and is run as a single day trip.
