Description
Tenmile Creek is a steep tributary to the Kings River. The stream is primarily pools and riffles. Conifer forest dominates the vegetation in the upper parts of Tenmile Creek, pines and oak woodland are the dominant vegetation in the middle parts of the stream.

Basic Directions
Access to the lower portion of Tenmile Creek area is limited by the steep topography that this stream flows through. State Highway 180 crosses and parallels the creek for approximately ½ mile prior to Yucca Point, but terrain makes access difficult. Safer access if provided above Hume Lake via Forest Road 13S09, which connects State Routes 180 and 198 (this connection can be closed by snow).
