Climate
Since the Sierra Nevadas stretch for 400 miles, a single weather forecast on any given day is impossible to determine. But the range has a general climate. Summers are dry and cool and every other season is comparatively wet, with as much as 80 inches falling as rain (or, above 6,000 feet, usually snow) throughout the year.
