Description
Saratoga Gap, a trail complex in the Bay area, features excellent mountain biking trails for intermediate to advanced level riders.
The individual trails are challenging with steep climbing and one section that is so rooted and rocky that it is better to portage by hiking. The trails in Saratoga Gap thread through grassland, forests of pine and oak and carpets of fern.
Suggested trails in Saratoga Gap include Hickory Oaks, Long Ridge, Grizzly Flats, Table Mountain and Charcoal Road. A map of the area does come in handy to help with navigation. Sections of trails in Saratoga Gap may be closed due to recent rainfall.
