San Francisco’s famous fog is part of the unique climate the city experiences. Moderate temperatures year-round are the general rule. Quick-moving clouds coming in off the ocean may drop short rain showers, especially in winter and spring. During winter months or for evening activities, sweaters or other warm clothes are recommended. Summer temperatures are usually in the balmy low 70s.
