Description
This trail is within the 44,560-acre Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness Area part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. The trail crisscrosses the ridgeline until fine views and delicate wildflowers are found at the site of an abandoned lookout. Rarely visited, it is a good place for solitude. Salmon Mt Trail crisscrosses the ridgeline with short uphill and downhill pitches but little overall elevation gain or loss. The trail is narrow and rocky.
