Description
The Sacramento River is one of the largest rivers in California and is fed by the snowy flanks of the eastern Trinity Peaks and mighty Mt. Shasta (14,162’), a dormant volcano.
In spring, the Upper Sacramento’s cold and clear waters offer non-stop intermediate level excitement with over 50 rapids along its length. The river canyon is extremely lush with deep green foliage, cascading side-creek waterfalls and magnificent views of Mt. Shasta.
A combination of excellent scenery and thrilling whitewater make a single day or overnight trip down the Sacramento a memorable one.
