Description
Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space, located on the west slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains, features a variety of trails suitable for beginner mountain bikers and above.
Purisima Creek Redwoods encompasses 3300 acres of terrain and trails weave through stands of Coastal Redwood trees, Chaparral and coastal forest. Purismia Creek Redwoods features a mix of old fire roadways and singletrack and the trails are not particularly technical except for a couple of tricky downhill sections.
Riders in Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space can choose from trail combinations ranging from easy to demanding. Trails can be linked from Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space to El Corte de Madera Open Space for an epic ride. A map comes in handy for navigation and some trails in the complex are closed to mountain biking.

Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space is multi-use and riders should understand and practice appropriate right of way protocol. Hikers are commonly seen here. Riders should also carry a first aid kit, bike repair kit and extra water and food. A map will come in handy due to the number of trails in the area.

Basic Directions
From Half Moon Bay take Highway 92 east to Skyline Road. Turn right on Skyline Road and follow to Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space and park.
From Woodside, take Woodside Drive southwest to Sky Londa. Take a right onto Skyline Boulevard-Highway 35 and travel to Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space and park.
