Description
Located within the White Mountains outside of Pinetop Arizona, the singletrack of Los Burros winds through old growth forest, a unique environment in the state of Arizona. Damp and cool conditions are welcome relief for bikers considering a mid-day summer ride.
Well maintained and marked by navigational diamonds, the Los Burros trail circumnavigates Wishbone Mountain, which rises to 8800’. The trail is located within the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. Camping is an option at the trailhead.

Los Burros Loop Trail is remote and riders should consider bringing extra food, water and clothing. Temperatures can plummet here if an afternoon thunderstorm strikes. It is also a great idea to include a repair kit and first aid kit. Los Burros Loop Trail is multi-use and hikers and horseback riders may be encountered. Please be considerate on the trails and understand right of way protocol.

Basic Directions
From Show Low take Highway 260/73 southbound. Follow Highway 260 eastbound at the split of 260/73. Once at the small town of McNary, take a left heading northbound onto FR 224-Vernon Road. Travel for approximately 7.5 miles to Los Burros Campground.
