Climate
The weather in Los Angeles can vary quite a bit based on how close you are to the ocean. The temperature rises the farther inland you move. Generally, temperatures are warm year-round, although a sweater or light coat is advised for winter evenings. The L.A. area receives little precipitation, except for the occasional rainstorm in winter or spring. In summer, low-lying fog often lingers till noon (or longer if it’s smog). Fall is considered by some to be the ideal time to visit, with warm weather, less pollution, and clear skies.
