Description

Lake in the Woods is a 4 acre man-made lake that is 8' at its deepest point. Boats are allowed but NO MOTORS. There are nearby hiking trails to scenic waterfalls (Hemlock Falls Trail #1520 and Yakso Falls Trail #1519). The area is alive with color in the spring when the rhododendrons, as well as many wildflowers, are in bloom.

Basic Directions

From the North Umpqua Ranger Station (16 miles east of Roseburg on State Highway 138), take Highway 138 1/4 mile west to Little River Road No.17. Follow Little River Road for 20 miles, at which point it becomes Forest Service Road 27 and is gravel. Continue another 7 miles to the campground.
