Kaspian is an excellent campground for people planning a multi-day bike ride around Lake Tahoe. It is a National Forest campground operated by a private concessionaire, California Land Management.

6 people and 1 vehicle; please park your vehicles in the designated camping spots only. Additional vehicles will be charged $5 per car.
Standing BBQ''s and fire rings at all sites; please use fire areas provided at each campsite and do not build additional fire rings. Remember, only collect dead and down wood in the nearby forest for your fires and before leaving your campsite make sure your fire is "Dead Out." Help prevent forest fires!
Blackwood Canyon is an excellent and popular off-highway vehicle recreation area. Approximately 3.5 miles south of Kaspian is the McKinney Rubicon off-highway vehicle area.
Contact the campground host in case of emergency. Medical, dental, and optical services are available in Tahoe City. Tahoe Forest Hospital offers 24-hour emergency care and is fully staffed. Groceries, fuel, laundry and other services are available in the near-by communities of Tahoe Pines, Idlewild and Sunnyside.
Reservations can be made up to 240 days prior to your visit through the National Recreation Reservation System (NRRS). Golden Age and Access passports are accepted. To make reservations:

Basic Directions
Nestled along the shore of Lake Tahoe's west side. Kaspian Campground is located on Highway 89 approximately 3 miles south of Tahoe City. It is also adjacent to the exit for Blackwood Canyon.
