Description
Juanita lake is a beautiful mountain reservoir near Macdoel, CA. It's a popular spot for local fishermen and is stocked several times a year with catchable sized trout. A 1.5 mile paved, barrier free trail circles the lake and is wheelchair accessible. It also has two paved fishing jetties and three wheelchair accessible campsites.
Juanita Lake Campground has 23 family campsites, one large site for a group of up to 50 persons, and three campsites accessible by persons with disabilities.

Regulations prohibit the use of motorized boats; however the size of this lake makes it excellent for small rowboats, rafts,and canoes.
A valid California state fishing license is needed to fish within the National Forest. Licenses are sold at sporting good and other retail stores.
