Description

This trail connects the Salmon River Trail to the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. The trail brings visitors by Jackpot Meadow and Dry Meadow both at the 3800’ and to an upper section of Salmon River. From northern trailhead, the trail drops down into Salmon River where a small footbridge crosses the river. It climbs out of the river canyon again on its south side on a rocky, exposed trail for about a mile. A couple spots on the trail is a bit confusing due to various old road intersections from many year ago. The southern 2-3 miles of trail is on fairly gentle terrain till it reaches the PCT a couple miles north of Timothy Lake.
