Description
This short trail connects to the Pacific Crest Trail No. 2000 (PCT) and on to a variety of loop trails that pass pristine lakes and old-growth mountain hemlock forest. Some of this landscape was scorched by a forest fire in 1998. Mosquitoes are a bit hungry early in the season.
The trail enters the Three Sisters Wilderness Area shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness Permits are required for both day-use and overnight travel in the Wilderness from Memorial Day Weekend until Oct. 31. Permits are available at the trailhead.
