Description
The Holter Ridge Trail, located in Redwood National Park, is the one section of dirt road and paved trail open to mountain bikers in the park.
Climbs on the Holter Ridge trail are rather steep, providing riders with a good aerobic workout. The final 1000 feet of elevation gain on the trail takes place in only one mile! On the way down, the riding is fast and fun, with little technicality.
Holter Ridge trail follows Lost Man Creek up onto Holter Ridge. The trail steadily climbs through sections of old growth and secondary growth forest, giving riders a great opportunity to enjoy the amazing giant trees of the area.
Riders on the Holter Ridge Trail in Redwood National Park are subject to the current National Park Service entrance fees.

Riders should also carry a first aid kit, bike repair kit and extra water and food. Riders should be aware of additional rules and regulations when riding in a National Park. A fee is required for riding in the park.
