Description
The trail starts near a ridge top and travels downslope through timber and hardwood stands to the South Fork of the Smith River where it meets the South Kelsey Trail. Caution: horse travel on this trail may be difficult due to recent slides and steepness of the trail. It is advisable to walk the trail prior to riding horses.

Basic Directions
From milepost 24.85 on Hwy 199 (10 miles east of Gasquet), turn onto Little Jones Creek Road (FS 17N05/Jawbone Road) and drive 10 miles to 16N02. Turn right onto 16N02 and travel 6 miles to 16N18 on the left. Turn onto 16N18 and continue 5.7 miles to 15N34. Turn left onto 15N34 and continue 2 miles to the trailhead on the left before the end of the road. Limited parking.
