Description

Flag Mountain Trail offers excellent views of Mt. Hood. Dogwood and rhododendron bloom profusely in June. This lower elevation trail is free of snow much of the year. From its northwestern end, this trail climbs steeply for almost a ½ mile till it reaches the ridge. Once on the ridge the trail is an easier grade. For bikers, the trail is a narrower single track is still a challenge on the ridge.

Basic Directions

Follow U.S. 26 to the east end of Rhododendron. Turn right on Rd. 20 (2620). Cross a bridge and continue 0.8 mile to Road 2620—200. Turn left on this road, and the trailhead should be on the right. Limited shoulder parking is available.
