Description
Over 160,000 people visit the Crocker Art Museum each year to see one of the state's premier collections of California art. Fourteen thousand works of art call the museum home, but only about four percent can be exhibited at one time. The museum rotates its outstanding collection regularly, as well as bringing in outside exhibits. While you can see works from Brueghel the Younger to Georgia O'Keefe, part of the fun is visiting the beautiful Victorian Italianate building.
And parents with kids in tow, be sure to pick up an activity pack for the kids. Playing art detective or going on an art safari will keep them both informed and entertained. The Crocker Art Museum also sponsors a Second Saturday for Families, held from noon to three once a month, with themed activities and programs.
