Description
Just outside Stockton, California you'll find the sprawling waterways of the California Delta. The Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers combine to make over 1,000 miles of shore available for recreation and sightseeing. One of the favorites is houseboating, which can take you to such a wide variety of sights that visitors are not likely to ever have the same experience twice.
The Delta is host to several annual events including the Big Cat Poker Run, a fundraiser for local charities and giant party for all boaters.
Though massive in size, access to marinas for rentals or launch points is incredibly convenient compared to other recreational lakes in the region. Proximity to Sacramento, San Francisco and Oakland make air travel very convenient, and several major routes lead directly to the water.
