Description
Bullards Bar Trail winds around the shoreline of the New Bullard Bar Reservoir, offering mountain bikers a selection of moderately technical trails to choose from.
There are two length options when riding the Bullards Bar trail, a shorter 13-mile loop and a longer 22-mile loop. The shorter loop cuts mileage by taking a short cut onto the 7 Ball Trail back to the trailhead. The longer loop gets technical in spots and is more suitable for advanced riders.
The Bullards Bar Trail starts as well packed singletrack winding through dense old-growth forest. As the trail climbs, portions of the trail are carved into the hillside, making for roller coaster type riding. The trail is well marked and features good views of the reservoir along the way. Bug spray is suggested when visiting this area.
