Description
The trail climbs gradually, generally following Bridge Creek. It passes first through the 1979 Bridge Creek burn, then enters stands of large fir and spruce trees, and finally reaches alpine meadows at the 370 road. One mile in the Swampy Lakes Trail No. 23 crosses, providing two loop opportunities back to the trailhead, via South Fork Trail No. 25 or North Fork Trail No. 24.2. Much longer loops can be made via the Metolious-Windigo Trail No. 99. Upper portions of this trail usually remain snow-bound until mid-summer
Bridge Creek trail lies entirely within the City of Bend Watershed and is thus closed to dogs, mountain bikes, pack animals, and camping to protect Bend's drinking water. Please register at the watershed boundary permit box upon entry.
