Description
Bidwell Park is one of the Chico area’s most popular biking destinations, a municipal park located close to the center of Chico with trails suitable for mountain bikers of varied ability levels.
The trails in Bidwell Park are often ridden as a loop from town, passing along Chico Creek and Horseshoe Lake with views extending to the Central Valley. The most popular trails in the area include North Rim, Upper Rim, Middle Rim, Lower Rim, Upper Park and Manzanita. Trails on the south rim side are more technical and feature downhill and freeride options.
Riders in Bidwell Park will find a number of swimming holes along the ride, perfect for taking the edge off hot summer days. A map of the area is quite helpful due to the number of trails in the area.
